Hell yea it matters...your family and friends are the people you hang out with and to be with someone they don't like separates you from them. Surely, you don't want that!

Like Starla said, when we're in love, we get blinded and don't see what other people see. And in fact, we become so content with our boyfriend or girlfriend that we don't care about anything or anyone else and that's a big problem that we don't realize until we're no longer in love.

DAMN... that does suck lol. You should be concerned. There must be a good reason why they don't like your girl. You need to find out why they don't like her. If it's something really bad then you need to chose those that are close to you. But if it's nothing all that serious find a way to make them like her.

I been there done that ... 1. how old r u guys ... parents can put presure on things, I must aggree with Lourdes ... is not enought reason ... My parents were like that ... for personal reasons ... I can't say .... but my life would be different if my parents put up a fight with me ... they won ... but I must tell you .. i'm very happy ... follow your heart ... If ur a young cat, I know how it feels ...... If history repeated it self, things would have been different ....

If you don't wanna choose, then you shouldn't have to. Your family and friends should respect the fact that you're in love with this girl, and just bite their tongues. If she says something that offends them, they should just tell her how it is (or even bite HER tongue), and maybe she'll learn her lesson not to be so loudmouthed about things.

That's a tough one for me. If my family doesn't like a girl its for a reason. Obviously your close to ur fam because u care what they think. Try talking to them about their issues with her. But at the end of the day, ur in the relationship. Its about being happy and pleasing yourself(no pun intended).

I think Lourdes is right! we cant please everyone in our lives, our parents or family or friends.. everyone is different that is why we decide what we want to do with our lives! weather anyone likes it or not! live ur life like it was the last moments of it, no one is going to care but you. You have to make a choice of making u happy and showing those people you love that you love them and they will see you happy with the person they dont like. at times people change and they can like her.

it depends on why they don't like her, if it's for selfish ass reasons like they just lookin down o her then fuck what they think. But If it's coz they see right through her, then I say be careful, you could be stupid inlove and end up gettin played..
